Subaru WRX Gets The Most Traffic Tickets

I just came across this article on social media where the Subaru WRX gets the most traffic tickets from a study on Out of all the car models in the United States, the Subaru WRX comes in at 33.6%.

The data was collected from 526 different car models and more than 557,000 recent customers to determine which vehicles received the most traffic violations and the Subaru WRX was the clear winner. The study found that one in three drivers of the flat four, turbocharged, road gripping, rally inspired car has the most in recent traffic violation, ranking it the most-ticketed car overall.

What the data doesn’t tell us is what “type” of traffic violation was issued. Most violations are broken down into two categories: Parking violations and Moving violations. Was it a traffic camera violation, DUI, or a speeding ticket?

I believe if the numbers are accurate, it may be the young and irresponsible subaru owners that do not obey the law and do not value other people’s lives while on the road. That is why there are controlled environments such as drag strips and race tracks that will allow for such use.

Other forum users think that Honda should also be on the top of the list for the mere fact that the old Honda Civic fanboys can finally afford used Subarus and continue to act like hoonigans. This can be read in a few forums where the Civic fanboys are giving a bad name to the many subaru clubs all across the country.

Along with Subaru WRX owners, the top 20 cars that get traffic violations are the following:

1. Subaru WRX – 33.6%

2. Pontiac GTO – 32.7%

3. Scion FR-S – 32.6%

4. Toyota Supra – 30.8%

5. Subaru Tribeca – 29.7%

6. Volkswagen Rabbit – 29.6%

7. Mercury Topaz – 28.8%

8. Scion tC – 28.8%

9. Toyota FJ Cruiser – 28.4%

10. Mazda2 – 28.1%

11. Hyundai Veloster – 28.1%

12. Volkswagen GTI – 28.1%

13. Suzuki Reno – 28.1%

14. Scion xA – 27.8%

15. Pontiac G8 – 27.7%

16. MINI Cooper S Countryman – 27.5%

17. Mitsubishi 3000 GT – 27.4%

18. Saturn Aura – 27.1%

19. Infiniti QX56/QX80 – 27.1%

20. Toyota Prius C – 27.0%

Let me know what other cars should also be on top of the list and why. I am very curious to know and hope to put up a poll with the Top 5 listings.

There will also be over fifty exotic cars showcased by D2 Forged Wheels.  It should be a great day for photos unless you’re stuck trying to take a picture of a car and people constantly getting in the shot.

Miss HIN Dannie Riel, Trinity Dang, and other models will be there to kick off the event. If you’re in New York tonight, check out SKY Room and get a chance to meet them in person before the show tomorrow.

When I’m taking a break from the event and photgraphy, I’ll be hanging out at the 3MG booth if you want to say hi.

If you haven’t picked up tickets yet for Hot Import Nights, you can still order online here and enter promo code “3MG”.

If you’re fortunate enough to go, I would suggest bringing out the family and kids. They will enjoy themselves as well. I would love to read your experience and any photos that you took. Feel free to comment in the Reply section. Hope to see everyone there.
